-Celebrate Juneteenth with the Daughters of Mary Magdalene's annual festival, held at 38th street park. The holiday celebrates the day - June 19, 1865 - when slaves in Texas first learned they were free. The festival features music and fun, as well as honoring locals who've helped the community.
