The last 35 seconds of Ahmaud Arbery’s life have been viewed, studied, dissected and discussed all over the world. That’s because of a video that went viral, showing his final moments before he was shot on a shady street in Satilla Shores, Georgia on February 23.

And while his death has made international headlines, the people of his community remember Arbery for how he lived.

Reynolds spoke following the arrest of a third man in the shooting, William "Roddie" Bryan Jr.

The man who filmed video of the fatal shooting of Ahmaud Arbery in February has been arrested, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation said Thursday.

He is charged with felony murder and criminal attempt to commit false imprisonment.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation executed a search warrant at the home of Gregory and Travis McMichael Tuesday evening, the agency confirmed.

A statement Wednesday did not provide further details, saying only that the search was part of the Ahmaud Arbery murder investigation and that the case is active and ongoing.

Protesters rallied in Brunswick, Georgia, again Saturday to call for justice in the killing of a black jogger, allegedly by two white men. Groups traveled from Atlanta, North Carolina and elsewhere to join the rally.

A father and son were arrested May 7 for the shooting death of Ahmaud Arbery. But it took more than two months for that to happen. Georgia Attorney General Chris Carr has asked both the Georgia Bureau of Investigation and the U.S. Department of Justice to look into the handling of the case.

Defense attorneys for the father and son charged with killing Ahmaud Arbery said in a press conference Friday that there is more video of the shooting, though they did not elaborate.

Days before Ahmaud Arbery was pursued by two white men and fatally shot after being spotted inside a home under construction, neighbors — including one of the suspects — reported an earlier encounter with a person wandering through the open-framed structure.

The people who call Brunswick, Georgia, home say it’s not the monstrous place it might appear to be in the wake of the slaying of Ahmaud Arbery after a pursuit by two armed white men.

Yes, it is one of Georgia’s poorest cities where much of the black working population has struggled to find opportunities for advancement and where one black resident says he walks on tip toes to avoid racist insults.

An autopsy report released by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation revealed Ahmaud Arbery died from two gunshot wounds and suffered from a third.

The Glynn County coroner’s office conducted the autopsy on Feb. 24, the day after Arbery’s death near Brunswick.

The family of an unarmed black man who was shot and killed near Brunswick in February is calling for the resignation of the local district attorney. A rally is planned for Friday morning.

An attorney based in Coastal Georgia says he leaked the violent video of two men shooting and killing an unarmed black man who was jogging through the Brunswick neighborhood of Satilla Shores.

Attorney Alan David Tucker told GPB News in an email that he didn't release the Feb. 23 cellphone video to exonerate Gregory McMichael and his son, Travis McMichael. Tucker did not say how he obtained the video.

All this month, we visit historic theaters in our state, to mark National Historic Preservation Month. Our series finale is a visit to Brunswick’s Ritz Theatre. The theater opened in 1899 as a grand opera house and began showing movies in the 1920s. It has been a part of life for many in coastal Georgia — like Gwen Mayberry and her grandson, Daniel.
