Snap Judgment Host Glynn Washington On Mental Health, Growing Up In A Cult

Mar 5, 2019

One of NPR's most popular shows, "Snap Judgment," is coming to Atlanta for a live performance at Atlanta Symphony Hall on March 30.

Glynn Washington has hosted the program since it debuted in 2010. The show's goal is to share "stories with a beat" from around the world.

Glynn's story began as a member of an apocalyptic cult known as the Worldwide Church of God, where he spent the first 19 years of his life.

GPB's Leah Fleming spoke with Glynn about his upbringing and how family struggles with mental health shaped his storytelling.
