Political Rewind: LGBT Community Faces Progress, Setbacks During Legislative Session

Jun 17, 2019

On this edition of Political Rewind, as Pride Month continues across the country, we will take a look at the progress made by the LGBTQ Community in the decades long effort to gain equal protections and fair treatment in Georgia and across the nation.

Marriage equality is now the law of the land, and activists say the LGBTQ agenda made major gains in this past legislative session. We will look at those new laws as well as why the community is still concerned about protections that remain unresolved.

And, as we remember the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall Riots, we will look back at the to the New York City police raid, and LGBTQ community reaction, that changed the battle for gay rights in America.
