Political Rewind: Gov. Kemp Sets Priorities In 2020 State Of The State Address

Jan 16, 2020

On Thursday's Political Rewind, we discussed Gov. Brian Kemp’s 2020 State of the State address to the General Assembly earlier.

The governor took the opportunity to lay out his legislative priorities during the speech before a joint session of the General Assembly.

Our panel will discuss the issues he highlighted and those he omitted.

Georgia’s House Speaker David Ralston said earlier this week he would not set an end-of-session date until he had “a clearer picture” of the sharp cuts the governor is calling for. We will discuss a one-on-one interview Speaker Ralston had with The Atlanta Journal-Constitution’s reporter Tamar Hallerman, who sits on our panel today.
