One of country music’s biggest stars now has a street named after him in Macon.
Jason Aldean returned to his hometown to accept the honor after he raised $500,000 for the children's hospital at Navicent Health.
The Academy of Country Music Entertainer of the Year says growing up in Macon had an impact on his music career.
“You know, I think you’re sort of a product of your environment [and] that spills out into your music,” Aldean said. “I mean songs that I relate to and things like that are because of how I was raised and how I grew up… which was here.”
Aldean will wrap up his day in Macon with a benefit concert for the hospital. The show, called “Concert for Kids” will feature fellow country star Luke Combs.
