GPB-TV Presents: 'A Seat At The Table'

Jun 15, 2017

For generations, black women have gathered together to share insights, wisdom, and to encourage one another.

Now, Georgia Public Broadcasting wants to bring those candid conversations to TV with a new talk show called "A Seat at the Table."

The hosts include:

  • Monica Kaufman Pearson, the first woman of color to anchor the daily evening news in Atlanta.
  • New York Times best-selling author Denene Millner who co-wrote "Act Like a Lady, Think Like a Man" with Steve Harvey.
  • Christine White, an Atlanta attorney and activist.

"This is the opportune time for three women from three different backgrounds to give their views on things that have been bothering us for a long time." — Monica Pearson

GPB’s Leah Fleming sits down with all three co-hosts to discuss the goals of the show, share their personal experiences, and highlight issues facing black women that deserve more attention.

The show premieres this Sunday evening, June 18, at 6:30 PM on GPB-TV.
