The Family Life Of Nashville Songwriting Greats, Felice and Boudleaux Bryant

Boudleaux and Felice Bryant had a deep impact in Nashville, with notable hits like "Bye Bye Love" and “All I Have to Do Is Dream.” Their music has been recorded by artists like The Beatles, Bob Dylan, Dolly Parton and Simon & Garfunkel.

The hit-making couple is the subject of a new exhibit at The Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum in Nashville, Tenn.

The town of Shellman, Ga. is also celebrating the Bryants. Next weekend, Oct. 11 and 12, the town of Shellman will celebrate The Boudleaux Bryant Festival in honor of what would have been Bryant’s 100th Birthday.

Virginia Prescott will be interviewing their son Del Bryant at the festival. And the festival will also feature segments from Ken Burns’ Country Music documentary.

Del Bryant made a career supporting music makers and producers as president and CEO of Broadcast Music Inc.  BMI is one of the country’s premier organizations ensuring that artists and workers in the industry get paid for their work.

Del Bryant will be talking about his parents at the festival, but first he sat down with On Second Thought.
