Bourdeaux Concedes To Woodall In 7th District

Nov 26, 2018

Democrat Carolyn Bourdeaux has conceded to Republican Rep. Rob Woodall in the race to represent Atlanta's 7th Congressional District.

Bourdeaux said 433 votes separated the candidates after Wednesday's recount in Forsyth and Gwinnett counties. Initial results certified the previous weekend showed Woodall leading by 419 votes.

Georgia's secretary of state still must certify the election results. Woodall has represented the 7th District since 2011.
