The Satanic Temple has been trying provide a secular alternative to traditional religion for over two decades. What is the mission of the Temple, and what are common misconceptions? The Atlanta Chapter is fighting to host an official after-school program in Cobb County schools. We talk to Atlanta Chapter head Fred Mephisto about the goals of his organization.


Not too many indie bands can say they’ve gone strong for more than 20 years. Athens group Of Montreal is an exception. Founded by Kevin Barnes in the late 90s, the band has released 14 full length albums. Their 15th album, called "White Is Relic / Irrealis Mood," comes out on March 9th. We talk with Barnes about the vision behind this latest record. Of Montreal with perform at Savannah Stopover on March 10th, and in their hometown of Athens at the 40 Watt on March 22nd.

 

“The Nix” is the debut novel by author Nathan Hill. It revolves around Samuel Andresen-Anderson, who reunites with his mother after being abandoned by her as a child. She’s been accused of a major crime and Samuel must come to the rescue. We revisit a conversation with Nathan Hill ahead of an Atlanta appearance last year.
