Political Rewind: Kavanaugh Denies Sexual Assault Allegations

Sep 17, 2018

On this edition of Political Rewind, the Senate Judiciary Committee might have to delay their vote on Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh after sexual assault allegations have surfaced.

In a statement issued through the White House Monday morning, Kavanaugh said the allegations were “completely false” and added that he has “never done anything like what the accuser describes — to her or to anyone."

In Georgia’s race for governor, fuses are short and tensions high as each campaign ramps up their attacks against their opponent. Republican Brian Kemp’s campaign has sent a letter demanding the TV stations pull the attack ad from the Georgia Democratic Party that claims Kemp turned his back on accusations of sexual abuse at massage parlors. Democrat Stacey Abrams campaign has come under scrutiny after deciding they won’t reveal a list of the donors who gave a total of $12.5 million to organizations Abrams launched before announcing her bid.
