DeKalb's CEO Confronts 'Water Billing Crisis'

There’s a water crisis going on in DeKalb County. It’s not a problem of what’s in the water, but what it's costing residents.

 

 


Citizens of DeKalb County have been dealing with exorbitant and incorrect water bills for years.

 

Recently, a programming error charged some residents 100 times their normal rate.

 

The problem has been described as a crisis by DeKalb’s new CEO Michael Thurmond.

 

We sit down with the CEO to talk about the water billing struggles, the infrastructure that needs fixing, and what residents can do if they get an unpleasant bill in the mail.
